With India’s largest airport set to come up in Noida, here is what’s in store for passengers

It promises to be unlike anything India has seen. The largest international airport yet, connected to nearby airports and cities by bullet trains and metro. That’s what’s being planned at Jewar, near Noida.

Prime Minisiter Narendra Modi will lay the foundation for the international airport on November 25. Billed to be the largest airport in India, the Jewar airport will be the National Capital Region’s third, after the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) and the civilian terminal at Ghaziabad’s Hindon airport.
Spread over 5,000 hectares along the Yamuna Expressway, the airport is already set to get bigger with Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) deciding to add 1,000 hectares to the project by merging three proposed industrial sectors with the airport plan.
