Vivo is reportedly gearing up to launch a Vivo Y55s budget smartphone in China. The smartphone was previously spotted with model number V2164A on the IMEI database. Now,a listing on China Telecom’s website has shed more light on the upcoming device. The listing has revealed the specifications of the smartphone along with the images. Although the company has not revealed any details about the smartphone yet, the listing suggests that the device will be launched on December 4.
Vivo Y55s rumoured specifications
According to the listing on China Telecom’s website, the Vivo Y55s smartphone has 163.87 x 75.33 x 9.17mm dimensions and it weighs 199 grams. The listing also reveals that the device sports a 6.58-inch Full HD+ LCD screen with a teardrop notch. The device is also said to feature a side mounted fingerprint reader for security. In terms of camera, the smartphone is rumoured to have a dual camera setup at the rear consisting of a 50MP primary lens and a 2MP auxiliary lens. For selfies and video calls, the device is said to have an 8MP camera at the front housed inside the teardrop notch.
Under the hood, the Vivo Y55s is rumoured to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. When it comes to battery, the smartphone is said to have a 6,000mAh battery. According to previous leaks, the battery will support 18W fast charging.
In terms of connectivity, the listing suggests that the dual SIM smartphone gets Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a USB-C port and a 3.5mm audio jack. The Vivo Y55s 5G is rumoured to be available in three colour options - Ceramic Black, Mirror Lake Blue and Cherry Pink Meteor. The device is said to run on the Android 11 operating system out of the box.
