BJP creating drama in country: Rajasthan CM Gehlot on Gyanvapi row
Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot on Tuesday accused the BJP of creating a new drama in the country on the issue of Varanasi's Gyanvapi mosque and asserted that saffron party's policies are going to ruin the nation. "BJP has no faith in democracy…Its leaders are doing politics wearing the mask of democracy. The policies, programmes, and principles of these (BJP) people are going to ruin the country," Gehlot said, while addressing the Azadi Gaurav Yatra of Congress Seva Dal here.

The top court, which is likely to take up the matter for further hearing later this week, said that the Shivling found inside the mosque during the survey needs to be protected, but the restrictions on Muslims entering the mosque to offer namaz is not correct.
The apex court has brushed aside repeated plea for stay on proceedings before the trial court, which was scheduled to receive the commissioner's survey report on Tuesday.
However, SC said there will be no restriction on number of Muslims entering the mosque for Namaz or other religious rituals.
SC says area within Gyanvapi mosque where Shivling is found need to be sealed and ordered the District Magistrate to ensure that no one is allowed there.
The Supreme Court has said that the trial court directed the DM, Varanasi, to seal the premises where Shivling was found and entry into the Wazu khana was restricted and said that it will not be used and only 20 people will be allowed for prayers.
