Bank holiday: Banks to remain closed for up to 11 days in May. Check complete list here

NEW DELHI: Banks will remain closed for 11 days in May, according to the Reserve Bank of India holiday calendar list. There will be four holidays in the month of May and the remaining seven holidays are weekend leaves.
List of bank holidays in May:
- Banks will remain closed on 2 May, in Bengaluru, Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi on account of Eid-UI-Fitra
- Banks across the country will remain closed on May 3 on account of Bhagvan Shree Parshuram Jayanti, Ramjan-Eid (Eid-UI-Fitra), Basava Jayanti and Akshaya Tritiya. Banks in Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi will remain open
- On May 9, banks in Kolkata will be shut on account of Rabindranath Tagore's birth anniversary
- On May 16, banks in Agartala, Belapur, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Jammu, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Raipur, Ranchi, Shimla and Srinagar will remain shut on account of Buddha Purnima
