Tata Punch launched in 4 variants, starts at Rs 5.49 lakh

NEW DELHI: Tata Motors on Monday launched Punch micro-SUV in four variants, starting at Rs 5.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
Punch is based on the ALFA-ARC of Altroz. Punch will compete with the likes of Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, and Maruti Suzuki Swift.
Tata Punch is only available in a 1.2-litre, naturally-aspirated petrol engine which puts out 86 PS and 113 Nm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox or 5-speed AMT.
Pure MT: Rs 5.49 lakh
Adventure MT: Rs 6.39 lakh
Accomplished MT: Rs 7.29 lakh
Creative: Rs 8.49 lakh
(AMT variants are Rs 60,000 expensive)
Tata Punch is the safest car in its segment, scoring a 5-star rating in global NCAP rating. In terms of safety, Punch offers dual airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking camera and traction pro mode (only in AMT).

Tata Punch derives its looks from Harrier and Nexon, and is placed at the bottom of the company's SUV lineup.
Upfront, Punch packs chunky Harrier like headlamps and circular fog lamps. Punch rides on either 15 or 16 inch wheels. The overall length is slightly shorter than the alfa at 3827 mm. From the rear thud Punch has got a Nexon like lofty stance and Y-shaped taillights.

Inside the Punch, the upholstery is stitched in black with a signature tri-arrow design. The feature lift includes 7-inch connected infotainment, 7-inch semi-digital driver display, Harman Kardon Stereo System and automatic AC.
