Kaun Banega Crorepati 13: Amitabh Bachchan makes a ‘zeherila’ marriage proposal for contestant Sumit Kaushik
The latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati kicks off with grand garba performance and Amitabh Bachchan expressing how he and his family celebrate the festival like any other normal family by performing the ‘puja’. After the grand exchange of festive wishes, the game continues with where it had been paused in the previous episode.
Contestant Anuj Agarwal had successfully answered four questions and began with the fifth question. He had all his lifelines secured until the eight question, where he opted for his first lifeline, audience poll. The question was based on identifying the singer of the song ‘kahe chede’, who is Pandit Birju Maharaj. Even if Anuj wouldn’t have opted for the lifeline, he would have gotten it correct.

Moving ahead, Mr. Bachchan being the witty self asked Anuj if he had anyone ‘special’ in his life. Anuj then showed a video to Mr. Bachchan where it was seen that anyone who had to become Anuj’s life partner had to pass the criteria’s that his four elder sisters had set. Big B then pulls Anuj’s leg and says that he should find a partner for himself whom he likes because she will have to marry him and not this sisters.
Moving further, Anuj opted for his second lifeline for the tenth question. He chose the 50-50 lifeline and won ₹3,40,000. The question was about which of the prime ministers was not born in Allahabad. The correct answer was Chandra Shekhar. Anuj would have gotten it right even if he hadn’t chosen the lifeline.

Amitabh Bachchan then asks him if he is bullied or pampered by his sisters. Anuj says that it’s a mix of both and they use him to get rid of lizards at home as they are scared of it. Anuja revealed that he charges ₹10 for each lizard he gets away with. Sr Bachchan then gave him the idea of leaving a few lizards on purpose to earn more money. Mr. Bachchan being the classic always!

The game moved forward, and Anuj opted for Flip the Question lifeline for the 12 th question, and (spoiler alert!) the last question that he plays. The question was based on astronomy and even if he would have answered, it would have gone wrong. The question that came forth after flipping was:

Q. When the Lucknow pact was adopted in 1916, Muhammad Ali Jinnah represented the Muslim League. Who represented the Indian National Congress?

· Mahatma Gandhi

· Sadar Vallabhai Patel

· Bal Ganga Dhar Tilak

· Gopal Krishna Gokhale

Answer: Bal Ganga Dhar Tilak

Despite having one lifeline in hand, he went in to answer the ‘Sardar Vallabhai Patel’ and lost the game at this question. Now instead of taking ₹6,40,000; Anuj had won ₹3,20,000. Nevertheless it was a well payed game as said by Mr. Bachchan.

After the triple fast finger test, Contestant Sumit Kaushik makes his way to the hot seat. Amitabh Bachchan greets him and his mother. Big B gets quite impressed by his mother’s simplicity and mentions how ‘cute and simple’ she is.

The game gets started and within the first two questions, Sumit’s hilarious personality is reflected as he starts teaching Amitabh Bachchan to compliment a person by using the word ‘Zeher’.

Sumit after answering a question whose answer was ‘samosa’, expressed how he misses the samosa of Delhi ever since he has come to Mumbai. He mentions that those ‘samosas’ are ‘zeher’. This leaves Big B in shock. He asks Sumit about this weird way of description and Sumit answers that it’s a way of complimenting. Amitabh ji then asks if Sumit cooks food and is married. He says that he is a great cook and isn’t married.

Amitabh Bachchan then tells all his viewers that he is a great cook and he will compliment his wife as ‘App Bahut zeher lag rahi hai’, hence putting out a marriage proposal. Mr, Bachchan being the classic in hilarious punches as always.

Moving on with the game, Sumit uses audience poll as his first lifeline for the question:

Q, which of these poets is known for his farming and whether related sayings?

· Chandbardai

· Ghagh

· Lachiram

· Bihari

Answer: Ghagh

Post this question, Amitabh Bachchan requests Sumit’s mother to ask the question that she had been wanting to ask. For the first few minutes she expressed how she loved the film ‘Baghban’.

Amitabh Bachchan thanked her for her wishes and gratitude but asked that he couldn’t find the question in it! Again, Mr. Bachchan and his punches. Sumit’s mother then asks him about who is more notorious, Abhishek Bachchan or Shweta Bachchan. Big B says that though Abhishek is more playful by nature, the bond between the two is strong and special.

The game moves ahead and Sumit uses his flip the question lifeline in the next question itself. He fails to guess the director of the film ‘Baby’ and chooses to opt for the another question. If he would have followed his hunch for the question of director of the film ‘baby’, he would have gotten it right.

The question that came in after flipping was:

Q. According to the Hindu mythology what was the name of the poison that Lord Shiva stored in his throat after the churning of the ocean.

· Kalabuth

· Chirkalika

· Kalakuta

· Shakalbhoot

Answer: Kalakuta

The times up hooter goes off and the game shall now continue he in the next episode where probably Amitabh ji will learn more ‘zeherile’ words!
